Radost Fina Kuhinjica: Raw like a lemon tart
Serbs tend to be big on meat, however the veggie movement seems to successfully defies the tradition.
Radost Fina Kuhinjica (Joy Fine Kitchenette) is known for its friendly atmosphere, pleasant interior equipped with antique furniture that is not at all mind-boggling.
It’s a small place tucked in an oldish building with a magnificent garden, away from the gaze of random tourists.
There is no sign in the street, neither the website exists.
It is the word of mouth that makes this place standing out on the culinary map of Belgrade.
Meals are plentiful, wholesome and scrumptious. There is not a particular cuisine that is under the spotlight, but be sure that your palates won’t lack of taste.
From different soups, buckwheat pancakes, hummus, curries, tacos, lasagna with walnuts, all the way to burgers with beets and lentils (served in a portion that contains 1 of each), or this bracing lemon tart prepared entirely raw.
Whether you decide to go for a lunch or dinner, the prices are more than convenient, and even though Radost Fina Kuhinjica could brag about its wall of fame, it has still remained a very cozy place that keeps on bringing in new arrivals to its menu, while maintaining the trust obtained at first sight.
