Mondello / Red Prawns in front of the sea


The main character of the third post of this tour is probably my favorite food/ingredient: the red prawn of Mazara del Vallo, king of the shellfish.

Here we are talking about a product with a unique and intense taste: mineral, salty, fatty. Nothing that can be compared to products in the same category.

Many good restaurants use it in different dishes - especially in starters and primi piatti - but I truly enjoy eating it completely raw or lightly marinated with olive oil, lemon juice and pepper.

It is a joy for the palate and an unforgettable food memory.
