Re:Public: after work in an urban bar

Re:Public is a modern urban bar in South Lake Union district, softly dimmed and characterized by exposed brick walls and big light bulb.

You will notice many blue badges around, distinctive mark of the Amazon employees who work in the area.

The place is indeed a popular spot for after work thanks to its good selection of local beers but especially for its impressive selection of bourbon, rye and whiskey.

The place has also a wide selection of food, from the happy hour bites, to the expensive lunch/dinner main dishes to the brunch option.

Even though the menu list tickles your taste buds, the result does not provoke any particular chill.

Being Seattle well known for its seafood, I was quite disappointed by the quality of the Ahi Tuna, resulting a bit chewy and not particularly tasty (even though I appreciated the delicate wasabi cream next to it). Similarly, the wild boar pappardelle were also lacking in taste...

Therefore my recommendation: go there to enjoy a fresh beer or a strong whiskey in a cool environment but do not make it your first choice for a dinner!
